Prophets seek the Lord through the divine communication that was given with the gift of prophecy. Through visions, revelations, images and the voice of the Holy Spirit they receive their messages.

The prophet then tells the seeker what the Holy Spirit spoke to them about on your behalf. God has put prophets in place to strengthen churches, guide, instruct, edify, conduct intercessory prayer to open the heavens over strong holds, and be released.
